WebJul 8, 2024 · Prepped the surface by hand sanding with 220, then 420 (took a solid 6 hours) Then did 3 coats of this fantastic primer, which dried to the touch in about 2 hours (55 degrees outside with 70% humidity). This stuff is 100% worth the price point. Highly recommend! I'd love to be able to strip and prime my car in the garage without worry of overspray (not my garage)and send it off to paint when I'm ready. Since I'm not building a show car but rather a nice driver I might give this a go when I'm ready.

As far as being smooth enough to scuff and shoot ^^^^^^^ I don't know anyone who just "scuffs" primer and then top coats... Well I should have said block it out.... but my fingers were getting tired. He gave me some options on primers and sealers that work well with his brand of paint. I did all the priming, 95% of the block sanding.
