If it's a spell that's already on your class list, I'm fine with treating your Fey/Shadow Touched spells as class spells, including allowing ritual casting if your class has it. WebAbjuration gives Shield, very strong on squishy casters and downright crazy on Paladins/Clerics. Probably avoiding school overlaps with Fey/Shadow-Touched. Plus Abjuration is very thematically appropriate. Paladins typically have enough AC without needing to use a precious spell slot on shield after their 1/day.
