I need to take the axle out, have removed the locknut, etc from the non drive side. Now...how does this axle come out? Thanks, DA Reply 04-10 … WebUsing the correct size cone spanner (usually 15mm) and spanner (usually 17mm) hold the cone and lock nut on the non-drive side of the wheel (the side without the freehub body.) Unscrew the lock nut. When removed, there may be some spacers or washers. Remove these and keep note of the order.

Web23 jun. 2016 · The loose ball freehubs hubs winterize much better because it's possible to get all of the factory grease out (reliably). I say winter with a colder climate in mind. Here (interior Alaska) if you do not disassemble and winterize your freehub it will either stop working, or worse, engage partially chipping mechanisms and destroying the freehub.
